TABS would like thank all our conference attendees for their welcome and generous support of Shabana Basij-Rasikh and SOLA (Schools of Leadership Afghanistan) at TABS’ annual conference in DC this last December. All three paintings created by our talented keynote, Erik Wahl, were auctioned off on eBay with the Lincoln painting selling for the largest amount. So a special shout out to the incredibly motivated and compassionate group of attendees that tracked the hidden painting of Lincoln down immediately following the Friday morning keynote with only one clue…and then so generously gifted it back for auction.
The sale of all three paintings along with SOLA’s matching funds gift has resulted in a total donation of $6000 to SOLA for their noble mission. Big thanks to Eric Widmer, Former Head of School for Deerfield Academy & King’s Academy in Jordan and close associate of Shabana’s, as well as Eric Peterson, current Head of School of St. George’s School and current TABS board member, for bringing Shabana and SOLA to our attention.
